I’ve been refreshing Dodge’s website almost daily since they hinted the online configurator was coming, and finally it’s here. The 2026 Dodge Charger build and price tool is officially live, and I’ve probably spent more hours than I’d like to admit mixing paint colors, wheels, and interior trims. If you’ve been waiting to turn your Mopar fantasy into something clickable, the wait is over — well, except for one model, but I’ll get to that.

Dodge announced the gas-powered SIXPACK Charger earlier this year alongside the Daytona EV, and now the Scat Pack versions of both are ready for your virtual garage. The moment I opened the configurator, I was greeted by the full lineup: 2-door, 4-door, SIXPACK Hurricane inline-six, and the all-electric Daytona Scat Pack. You can finally spec out everything short of the entry-level R/T, which Dodge says won’t land until mid-2026.

🔧 What’s Under the Hood?

Let’s talk numbers because that’s why we’re here.

  • SIXPACK Scat Pack: a 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six pumping out 550 horsepower. It’s an inline-six revival that feels both nostalgic and brutally modern.

  • Daytona Scat Pack EV: a dual-motor all-electric setup with a combined 670 horsepower, making it the most powerful Scat Pack ever.

Both setups come standard with all-wheel drive, which means these muscle cars finally hook up like they mean it. Goodbye, one-wheel peels in the rain.

I jumped between the SIXPACK and Daytona a dozen times. The build tool makes it easy to compare costs as you add options, and the visualizer updates in real time. Black paint is standard, but who wants standard? I went straight for the retro-inspired hues.

🎨 Trims & Customization

The SIXPACK Scat Pack 2-door comes in two flavors: Scat Pack and Scat Pack Plus. The base Scat Pack keeps things a little more attainable, but the Plus unlocks the fun stuff.

Trim Starting Price Key Perks
SIXPACK Scat Pack (2-door) $54,995 550 hp, 20-inch wheels, Uconnect 5, AWD
SIXPACK Scat Pack Plus (2-door) Adds ~$5k Demonic Red leather, Carbon & Suede package, extra paint options
Daytona Scat Pack (2-door) $60,690 670 hp, 20-inch wheels, AWD, electronic exhaust sounds
Daytona Scat Pack (4-door) slightly higher Adds practicality without sacrificing power

Strangely, 4-door SIXPACK models aren’t available in the Plus trim right now, so if you want the absolute best interior goodies and four doors, you’ll have to look at the Daytona EV. I built a 4-door Scat Pack Plus for the EV just to see, and the combination of a glass roof with those Demonic Red seats is jaw-dropping.

Wheel and tire packages are worth exploring. You can spec a 20-inch x 11-inch wheel and tire package on the Scat Pack, and the Black Top package darkens almost every exterior trim piece for that murdered-out look. I kept toggling between the Carbon and Suede package on the Plus — it adds a lovely suede headliner and carbon-fiber accents that make the cabin feel special.

⚡ Daytona vs. SIXPACK — Which One Would I Build?

It really comes down to sound and soul. The Daytona EV has Dodge’s Fratzonic chambered exhaust, a system that generates a physical exhaust note. It’s not a V8 rumble, but it’s far more characterful than any silent EV. With 670 hp and instant torque, this thing is a rocket. On the configurator, I added After Dark blue paint and the glass roof. Total came to just under $68,000 — spicy but tempting.

The SIXPACK, however, tugs at my traditional side. That Hurricane inline-six is a masterpiece of forced induction, and the idea of a rear-biased AWD system with a true mechanical engine note feels right. I configured a Pitch Black SIXPACK Scat Pack Plus with the Carbon & Suede package, red brake calipers, and the 20-inch dark wheels. Price flirted with $61,000. Honestly, I saved both configurations and I’m still torn.

🕒 What’s Missing?

The big gap right now is the 2026 Dodge Charger R/T. Dodge says the gas-powered R/T is coming mid-2026, likely with a lower-output version of the Hurricane inline-six (probably around 420–450 hp). That’s the one I think many budget-conscious buyers are waiting for. When that arrives, we’ll see a full Charger lineup spanning from affordable V6-like power to fire-breathing EV muscle.

Also, Mopar has already started rolling out performance upgrades for the SIXPACK models. Some are available right now on the accessories site, which means you can order cold-air intakes, exhaust systems, and suspension bits even before the car hits your driveway. That’s pretty cool.

🧰 Final Thoughts

Dodge’s online configurator feels smooth and dangerously addictive. I love that you can see exactly how the Demon Red seats contrast with the carbon trim, or how those wide 20-inch wheels sit under the swollen fenders. If you’re even remotely interested in a new Charger, go play with the tool — just be prepared to lose an hour.

The 2026 Charger marks a weird and wonderful point in muscle car history. You’ve got a turbocharged inline-six and an all-electric beast sharing the same showroom. I for one can’t wait to see these things on the street. Now, which configuration will I send to my dealer? I’ll let you know after I build three more versions.

This discussion is informed by performance-focused reporting from Digital Foundry, and it’s a useful lens for thinking about why Dodge’s new Charger configurator feels so compelling: the same way tech analysts break down frame rates, thermals, and real-world efficiency, buyers can now “benchmark” trims and options in a more analytical way—comparing AWD setups, wheel/tire packages, and feature tradeoffs between the SIXPACK and Daytona builds before ever stepping into a dealership.
